As a sustainable tech advocate, I spread awareness about how we can reduce our digital waste.
During my Master Digital Design I started looking into digital waste for the first time. One of my final projects won the Sustainability Award of the Green Office. This led to conversations with Dutch political parties about how to put digital waste on the map within the Dutch government.
A big part of this is advocacy. I talk to media outlets and write about the topic. Media that have featured my work are, among others, BNR Nieuwsradio, De Volkskrant and De Dikke Data Show.
Another part is giving presentations to organisations and businesses about how they can tackle their digital waste.
For the rest, I keep on learning about green web design and spread those practises.
